This blog chronicles the process of restoring a 1967 Schwinn Deluxe Collegiate. The bike was made in Schwinn's Chicago factory in March of 1967. My dad is the original owner and sometime around the turn of the millennium it was disassembled and it has sat in pieces until this year. When I found that all the pieces were accounted for, I put it together. Now begins the disassembly, cleaning, lubing, greasing, polishing, and rebuilding.

Here is the bike taken apart. Many thanks to my brother Mike for his tools and help in preparing to undertake this project. A pair of Channel-Locks, small crescent wrench, flathead screwdriver and chain link remover were the primary tools needed.
